Our idea 

• Introduction of both shopping and food directories into 3G phones
• Incorporate 3D graphics of shopping, food and street directories as a programme into 3G mobile phones

Rationale

Why 3G?

· Although there has been steady growth in 4G mobile phones, they are not as established as compared to 3G mobile phones. Since the technology used in 4G mobile phones constitutes a fundamental basis of that used in 3G mobile phones, 4G mobile phones should still be able to support any changes made to it in the near future.

 Why 3D?

· To increase the competitiveness of 3G mobile phones in the corporate market, we have decided to convert the current 2D graphics in mobile phones into 3D graphics as it would be more captivating.

· By changing the current graphics to 3D graphics that will project out of the screen, it can be viewed from different angles. Hence, landmarks can now be recognized easily.

 Why food & shopping directories?

· The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) constantly promotes Singapore as a food and shopping paradise. Hence, events such as the Singapore Food Festival and the Great Singapore Sale are held annually to attract tourists to Singapore. With our project it will be easier for tourists to visualize the food and shopping outlets, and thus get to the various different locations with much ease and convenience.

 Both the food and shopping directories can be incorporated into the 3G mobile phone by using several programmes as listed below. These programs will be available for download.
